EARLY LIFE
As a kid i grew up with my mom and my older brother. Being the younger one, I was the baby so I mostly was given the world. Growing up with a single mom though, you learn to ask for things you only absolutely need. another thing i learned from my mom is you don’t really need anything from anyone and that you can do it yourself or with your loved ones. I played outside a lot as a young kid but as i got older into my pre-teen/teen age years i became more of a home body. I also realized i wasn’t really cut out for any team sports so for me video games and dance it was.
Dance career
I am a dancer, choreographer, and educator with over a decade of experience in the industry. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I trained in hip hop, tap, and modern dance before honing my skills at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). My passion for movement and storytelling has led me to develop a style that blends high-energy performance with innovative choreography, always pushing myself and my students to bring authenticity and power to every moment on stage.
I’ve had the opportunity to perform on some of the biggest platforms, including Super Bowl 50, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Astroworld Festival with Pharrell. My work as a dancer has taken me into the world of music videos, performing for artists like Halston Dare, Chlo Subia, and Tiana Kocher, while my choreography has won 10+ competitions, earning recognition for its energy, creativity, and impact. I’ve been fortunate to train under some of the industry’s top choreographers, including JaQuel Knight, Parris Goebel, Chuck Maldonado, and Brian Friedman, constantly pushing myself to evolve and refine my craft.
In 2021, I opened my own dance studio, creating a space to mentor and train the next generation of dancers. Alongside running the studio, I also manage my family’s restaurant and teach throughout the greater Houston area, where I continue to develop dancers and inspire them to bring confidence, power, and individuality to their movement.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me spending time with my dogs, experimenting in the kitchen, or staying active through cross-training, gymnastics, and rollerskating. Dance has always been at the core of everything I do, and I’m committed to continuing to create, teach, and push boundaries in this ever-evolving industry.
see you on the floor
The technical definition for the word “yeet” is an exclamation of excitement, approval, surprise, or all-around energy, which you’ll often hear when seeing a dance move. Now adding “yah” to the equation gives the phrase two different dynamics. “Yeet” to give you the exclamation of energy and “yah” to bring it down or give it a chill vibe.
